Matheo Academy is built by us, Martin Pristaš and Peter Králik. We are bound by the conviction that focused practice has greater value in a time of short stimuli and manipulative rewards than ever before. When it is done honestly and with respect for a child's attention.
Martin Pristaš
Co-founder of Matheo Academy. Leads the technical side of the platform.
He started programming in 2014, writing the iOS versions of Zatracená čeština, Ach tá slovenčina and Pavučinka for Tobiáš Učebnice. He learned Objective-C on them, and later Swift. Twelve years on, we are rewriting those same apps into modern web form. This time with him as co-founder.
He recently discovered a passion for gravel cycling. He enjoys cooking, especially on the grill. When time allows, he watches F1 or heads out with friends to fish or camp.
Peter Králik
Co-founder of Matheo Academy. Leads product and the business side: from strategic decisions to the everyday details of how the platform grows.
Outside Matheo, he runs Rabbio, a Slovak digital agency, and is developing EduPort, a platform for Slovak educational and psychological counselling centres.
He spends most of his time at home with his wife and children. Then the mountains, running, cycling, strength training. Technology has interested him for years, recently especially what AI brings with it, when used with care.
Our editorial partner
The exercises in Matheo Academy apps are created in collaboration with Tobiáš Učebnice, a publisher with more than twenty years of practice in primary schools. They provide the pedagogy, we provide the technology. The collaboration has been running since 2014, when the first mobile versions of Zatracená čeština, Ach tá slovenčina and Pavučinka came into being.
