Cookies Policy
Effective: July 9, 2026
Version: 1.1
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that visited websites store in your browser. They are used so the site can remember your settings and login, or so the operator can understand how the site is used.
2. What cookies we use
Technical (essential) cookies
Without these the site and the apps do not work properly. At Matheo Academy, they are used to remember your language preference, to hide informational banners you have dismissed, and to keep you signed in to the platform apps (school, parent, author and administrator accounts, learning apps). These cookies do not require consent and we use them at all times.
Analytics (cookie-less)
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure traffic. This tool does not store cookies and does not identify individual visitors. The data is aggregated and anonymous, used only to understand how the site is used. We do not collect it for advertising and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.
Marketing cookies
We do not use cookies for advertising targeting or retargeting. If this changes in the future, we will ask for your consent and update this page.
3. Specific cookies
| Cookie | Purpose | Storage period | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
preferred_lang | Remembers the chosen language version | 12 months | Essential |
lang_banner_dismissed | Hides the language suggestion banner | 12 months | Essential |
cookies_acknowledged | Records acknowledgement of the cookies notice | 12 months | Essential |
sb-* (Supabase) | Keeps you signed in to your user account | for the duration of the login | Essential |
mx_session_id, mx_sess_* | Active session in the learning apps | for the duration of the session | Essential |
Login cookies (sb-*, mx_*) are stored on the app domains (ucimese.online and ucimesa.online), not on this website. We keep this list up to date as new features are added.
4. Consent and withdrawal
We use only essential cookies, which under the ePrivacy Directive do not require consent. Our analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) stores no cookies, so it does not require consent either. We therefore show only an informational banner on the first visit, not a consent dialog.
If we deploy cookies that require consent in the future (for example, marketing cookies), we will show a cookie banner with real category selection. Consent could then be changed or withdrawn at any time in your browser settings.
5. Third-party cookies
Some cookies may belong to service providers we use. If card payment is available, the Stripe payment gateway uses its own cookies on the payment page to make the payment process work. Stripe has its own cookies policy, available on its website.
6. How to manage cookies in your browser
You can also manage cookies directly in your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy and security
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Please note that blocking technical cookies may cause some parts of the website to stop working (for example, remembering your language preference).
7. Changes to the policy
We update this policy as needed. The current version is always available on this page with the effective date stated.
8. Contact
